About

Who I am
I'm David, Portuguese by birth and living in Barcelona. Photography started as a way to document a big trip and grew into one of the few hobbies I actually stick with. I like the technical side as much as the artistic one, and I'm happiest either lost in the woods or on top of a canyon.
What I look for
Landscapes, mostly. The view from a summit, smooth river rocks, anything green and saturated after rain. I'm drawn to water more than most things: reflections, long exposures, the way a stream looks when you give the shutter enough time to think about it. Moody weather is a gift. Flowers, birds, textures, patterns in bark or stone all count too. If it sits still long enough to compose, I'll probably point a lens at it.
How I shoot
Body is a Sony A7C II, paired most days with a Tamron 25-200mm f/2.8-5.6 for range or a Sony 85mm f/1.8 when I want something cleaner. I upgraded from a Canon 80D a while back and I'm still finding things the new setup does better. I own three tripods and I'm putting real effort into not owning four.
